Treks: A dream destination for avid mountaineers and amateur trekkers from around the world, you will find plenty to suit your skill level and interests. Monastic Festivals: The whole of Ladakh is dotted with monasteries belonging to various schools of Buddhism. Almost all of these monasteries are located at scenic sites away from the hustle and bustle of routine life, enhancing their magnificence further.
A number of prominent fairs and festivals take place at these monasteries throughout the year, chief amongst them the festival at the Hemis monastery. Clad in elaborate costumes made of velvet and brocade, the performers unfurl a story of the age old fight between good and evil, leaving viewers spellbound and captivated.
River Rafting: Push yourselves with exhilarating river rafting expeditions on the two rivers of Ladakh, the Zanskar and the Indus rivers.
